A life well-lived has come to an end, and we find ourselves reflecting on the passing of Morgan O’Brien, a beloved member of the Midwest Radio community. Morgan’s peaceful departure at Galway University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, marks a significant chapter in the lives of those he left behind.
Morgan’s roots ran deep, and his journey began with his parents, Morgan and Annie, who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his sisters Mary Burke (Glenamaddy), Frances Coleman (Carramore, Roundfort), Bernie Burke (Galway), his infant sister Christina, and his brother Tom (Manchester).
The void left by Morgan’s passing will be felt deeply by his surviving brother Larry (Manchester) and sister Martina (Dunmore), as well as his nieces, nephews, and the extended family network that he cherished. His presence will be sorely missed by his neighbors and friends, who found in him a true friend and a pillar of support.
As we bid farewell to Morgan, we take comfort in the belief that he now rests in peace. His requiem mass, scheduled for Monday, November 24th, at 12 noon, will be held at the Church of Our Lady and Saint Nicholas in Dunmore (H54Y573). The burial will follow at the local cemetery, providing a final resting place for this remarkable individual.
For those unable to attend the funeral mass in person, the local parish website, https://dunmoreparish.com, will provide a live stream, ensuring that Morgan’s memory reaches far and wide.
And here’s where it gets personal: if you have a message of condolence for the O’Brien family, we encourage you to share it below. Your words of comfort and support can provide a much-needed source of strength during this difficult time.
May Morgan’s memory be a blessing, and may his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, Morgan O’Brien.
