Anambra Guber 2023: Soludo Wins 19 LGAs, Coast to Victory in Election Results

Anambra State Election: Soludo’s Triumph – A Landslide Victory!

It’s official: Professor Chukwuma Soludo is heading towards a resounding victory in the Anambra State gubernatorial election! The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced results from 19 local government areas (LGAs), and the incumbent governor has swept them all. Soludo’s impressive performance showcases his strong support base, leaving his rivals far behind.

The LGAs where Soludo secured dominant wins include: Dunukofia, Njikoka, Ogbaru, Awka North, Awka South, Orumba North, Orumba South, Aguata, and Ekwusigo. Further adding to his lead are victories in: Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Anaocha, Idemili North, Idemili South, Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Oyi, Ayamelum, and Anambra East.

There are a total of 21 LGAs in Anambra State, meaning only two remain to be announced: Ihiala and Anambra West. INEC officials took a brief break, with the intention of resuming the announcement by 6 AM.

And this is the part most people miss…

If Soludo’s victory is confirmed, he will become the third governor from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to secure two consecutive terms in office, following in the footsteps of Mr. Peter Obi and Chief Willie Obiano.

But here’s where it gets controversial…

Do you believe this election reflects the true will of the people? What impact will Soludo’s potential second term have on Anambra State’s future? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
